In 1977 the Jack Prince studio designed Amanda's Opera as a scarf for Liberty of London. This updated version forms part of their Autumn 2022 collection and I love it. There's more than a hint of Kabuki with Japanese figures and motifs scattered among what could be kimono designs. The limited colour palette makes this a very easy shirt to wear. A little unusually for my designs, this would look very chic with a knitted silk tie. Made with Liberty Fabric, using their super soft 100% cotton Tana Lawn®, and manufactured in Portugal. The block is gently tailored, and the collar has removable stiffeners.
