My traditional gentleman's wooden shafted walking umbrella is truly a thing of beauty and I am very proud to tell you that it is hand made here in jolly old London by craftsmen who have been doing it for over 200 years. The shaft is beech. Canopy construction is 24/60cm single metal rib. It has a scorched maple handle polished and finished to a resplendent depth including a silver collar laser engraved with a Simon Carter Union Jack device. The fabric is black Malaysian poly cotton which opens with a delightful crisp snap and is held closed by a pearl effect button and ringed elastic fastener making the umbrella a breeze to stow away again.
