George Stubbs was the undisputed master of horse painting. I revisited Whistlejacket at the National Gallery recently and was as impressed as ever. This design pays homage to Stubbs and places the horse at the centre, with the rider almost secondary. Its transfer printed onto white mother-of-pearl and then finished with a clear resin done to give extra dimension and to protect. Theyre under starts orders.
